Grand Island Mansion Delta California Absolutely wonderful historic home converted to wedding venue with overnight accommodations and a great Sunday Brunch by reservation only.  Located on Grand Island Road, south of the Steamboat Slough Bridge off Hwy 160, or north of 220 and the J-Mac Ferry landing.  If you want to feel like you are walking into “Terra” from Gone with the Wind movie, visit this place just to take a look!  Guest dock use by appointment only.

 Ryde Hotel  Historic hotel from the roaring 20’s days that has been refurbished.  Wedding venue and week end restaurant.  Call to confirm restaurant hours and room availability.

 Delta King Real paddle wheeler from past Delta days.  Nice accommodations on Old Sacramento Riverfront.  Live theatre and fun dine-and-stay packages.  If you want to understand California history and the gold rush days, this is a HIGHLY recommended place to stay!

Plan to visit the Pilot bar up at the front, upper floor.  Take note of the painted windows/cabinets showing the route of the ship from San Francisco to the Delta, up Steamboat Slough and the Sacramento River to the state capitol of Sacramento.  Ship is berthed at Old Town Sacramento and is within walking distance of great historical places to visit!
 Locke Lodge  Rustic overnight accommodations so you can sleep like the visitors did in the 1860s in this historic town with book store, restaurants, art gallery, museum.  Hike back to view the lush natural trees and waterways along Snodgrass Slough and Railroad Cut.  See the Delta as it once was – before trees were cut to fuel the steam engines of the paddle wheelers, and before most of the fresh Delta water started being diverted to other areas of the state.  Locke town info  and more info
